Publix to acquire Florida Albertson's for $500 million
In a deal expected to be finalized in September, Publix will acquire 49 Albertson's LLC store locations throughout Florida to a tune of $500 million. According to the Orlando Business Journal, Publix will close the Albertson's stores for enough time to allow for improvements.
Albertson's will continue to operate nearly 50 stores in Florida after the deal is completed.

Where Undergrads Dream of Working
Universum USA's annual ranking of prospective employers is filled with surprises despite several companies that haven't budged from the top of the list.
Google (GOOG), Walt Disney (DIS), and Apple (AAPL) once again grabbed the top three slots in research firm Universum USA's annual survey of more than 40,000 U.S. undergraduates' top five dream employers.

"Amid reports that it’s for sale, Harris Corp. (NYSE-HRS) continues to sign major contracts, including a potential seven-year, $53-million deal to supply communication and navigation systems for the next generation of spacesuits for NASA’s Constellation program.
Medical device manufacturer C2C Development and electronic testing product developer Global Engineering Management and Support have moved into the Florida Technological Research and Development Authority’s Business Innovation Center in Melbourne."
